Bronwyn Keenan


Bronwyn Keenan is an arts organizer, fundraiser, programmer, producer, and strategist with a decades-long career at the intersection of contemporary art, nonprofit institutions, higher education, and entrepreneurial ventures. From directing high-profile art and culture productions to shaping artist studios and pioneering multidisciplinary strategic initiatives, she has consistently cultivated environments where creativity thrives by connecting visionary ideas with the resources needed to bring them to life.

Most recently, Bronwyn served as Studio Director for a Los Angeles-based artist, where she restructured and expanded the studio’s infrastructure to support the artist’s ambitious multifaceted ouevre. She spearheaded major organizational and production overhauls, established a long-term legacy framework, and directed complex installations and exhibitions across international institutions.

Previously, she was the Founding Director of UB Arts Collaboratory, a groundbreaking strategic initiative at the University at Buffalo, where she championed interdisciplinary collaboration, developed landmark community projects, and secured significant funding that empowered faculty and students alike. Her tenure in museum leadership includes transformative roles at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, where she redefined institutional events, cultivated major cultural partnerships, and spearheaded multimillion-dollar fundraising efforts. At The Met, she expanded revenue streams through innovative programming and led high-profile productions such as the Met Gala, while at the Guggenheim, she elevated the Guggenheim International Gala into a premier fundraising event, quadrupling its revenue and securing key sponsorships.

Bronwyn's career began as the owner and director of the Bronwyn Keenan Gallery, a pioneering New York space that launched numerous influential artists and intersected with the city's broader cultural landscape in her consulting work with adidas, Chanel, Greenpeace, and Downtown for Democracy. A dedicated advocate for the arts, she is driven by a passion for the transformative power of art and ideas, an instinct for fostering talent, and a keen ability to connect visionary ideas with resources—skills that have been instrumental in sustaining and expanding cultural communities.
